Violin Recital

Tragedy struck the night before this year's winter violin recital...Leilani jammed her right thumb, making her unable to play her violin. Boo! It was quite the disappointment as she worked for three months to perfect La Folia, a seven and a half minute piece. But fortunately all was not lost as our youngest maestro was able to perform. Aidyn played Lightly Row and looked like a princess in her fru-fru dress that left a glitter trail to mark her path. She did a great job and is determined to get a trophy! Whatever works to get the girl to practice, I guess! Good job, Ai and better luck next time Nan!

Aidyn has just melted my heart. I am so sorry that Leilani wasn't able to perform...I was unfamilier with the piece so I YouTubed it and it is amazing, I could see her doing it. Maybe you could put a performance of her doing the piece and post it (once she has recovered) for all of us old and distant friends to see and hear!!!

I love your family pictures and Christmas cards this year....everyone is so grown up!

She looks so beautiful. Such a bummer about Leilani. At least we got to hear her play.
